 ಮೋಸಗಾರ ನರಿ  ಬಹಳ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾರ್ವ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮುದುಕಿ ಇದ್ದಳು . ಅವಳ ಹತ್ತಿರ ತುಂಬಾ ಬಾತುಕೋಳಿಗಳು ಇದ್ದವು . ಈ ಬಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಒಬ್ಬ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಹುಡುಗಿಯಿದ್ದಳು , ಕೆಲವು ದಿನ ಗಳ ನಂತರ ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿಯು ಎನೋ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಅವಳ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಡಿ ಹೋದಳು.ಆಗ ಮುದುಕಿಯೇ ಬಾತುಕೋಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಯಿತು . ಮುದುಕಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಆಯಾಸವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿತು . ಮನೆಯ ಕೆಲಸ ಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಮಾಡಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಬಾತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳವುದೆಂದರೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮುದುಕಿಗೆ ಕೈಲಾಗುವ ಕೆಲಸ ವಾಗಿದೆ . ಅದೂ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ವಾರಕೊಂದೆರಡು ಸಲವಾದರೂ ಪೇಟೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾರಬೇಕಾಗು ತಿದ್ದಿತು . ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವುಗಳ ಮಾರಾಟದಿಂದಲೇ ಅವಳ ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದಿತು . ಬಹಳ ಸಮಯದ ವರೆಗೆ ಅವಳು ಮೇಲಿನ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಾನೇ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು .
