What is the Universe?

Over the ages man has developed various concepts about the universe . Ancient astronomers and mathematicians believed the universe to be centred around a motionless earth . This concept was then changed by Copernicus who gave the theory of the universe being centred around the Sun . It was in the 19th century that the perception of the universe was further widened . British astronomer Herschel came out with the view that the Solar system was part of a much bigger star system , namely the Galaxy . This vision was again expanded in the 20th century by American astronomer Hubble , who contented , that the universe consisted of millions of galaxies . According to modern astronomy the universe consists of everything that is in the cosmos and that can affect us by means of physical forces . This therefore excludes anything that is physically undetectable .

ಹಿಂದೂಧರ್ಮದ ಕರೆ - ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಅಲ್ಪ ಸೇವೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಿತೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿ ನನಗೆ ಪರಮಾನಂದವಾಗಿದೆ. ದೂರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಪರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಮೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತೀರಿ ಎಂದು ಅಲ್ಲ ನನ್ನ ಸಂತೋಷ. ಹೊರಗಿನಿಂದ ಸೇನಾ ಸಮೂಹ ಭಾರತದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವ್ಯಾಹತವಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಹಲವಾರು ಶತಮಾನದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯದಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಜೇತರ ಅನಾದರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಆರ್ಯಾವರ್ತದ ಕೀರ್ತಿಕಳಶ ಕಾಣದ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾನವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಕೀರ್ತಿ ಸೌಧದ ಹಲವು ಭೀಮಸ್ಥಂಭಗಳೂ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಕಮಾನುಗಳೂ ಅದ್ಭುತ ವಾದ ಮೂಲೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಆ ಪ್ರವಾಹಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಹೋಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಭದ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ, ಕಮಾನಿನ ಮಧ್ಯದ ಕಲ್ಲು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅಚ್ಚಳಿಯದೆ ಇದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಇದು ತೋರುವುದು. ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ತಳಹದಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಭಗವಂತನ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶ್ವಕಾರುಣ್ಯ ಎಂಬ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಸ್ಮಾರಕಮಂದಿರದ ಮಹಾಸೌಧವು ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಇಂದಿಗೂ ಅಚ್ಚಳಿಯದೆ ನಿಂತಿದೆ' ಎನ್ನುವುದನ್ನು ತೋರುವುದು. ಭರತಖಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇಡೀ ವಿಶ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಒಯ್ದ ಅಪೂರ್ವ ಭಾಗ್ಯ ನನ್ನದಾಗಿತ್ತು. ನನ್ನಂತಹ ಭಾರತ ಮಾತೆಯ ಕನಿಷ್ಠತಮ ದಾಸನನ್ನು ನೀವು ಮುಕ್ತಕಂಠದಿಂದ ಹೊಗಳಿರುವಿರಿ. ಆಜನ್ಮಸಿದ್ಧವಾದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಸ್ವಭಾವವು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಸಂದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಬರಲಿರುವ ಆ
